Standards

Web standards are a set of “best practices” established by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C for short) which attempt to standardize websites.  It means that certain designated markup, presentation and scripting languages adheres to the rules and this keeps web page load times down.  I make sure your site meets these strict standards in both HTML and CSS.  Look for the icon that indicates your business has taken the care to ensure their website has met the internet standards.

Valid XHTML 1.0 Transitional

SEO friendly

The higher up content is in your page code, the more important it is considered by search engine algorithms and therefore it ranks higher.  I do our utmost to make your site SEO friendly.

Resizable text compatible

People who are vision impaired can make changes in their browser settings to make the text larger so it's easier for them to read. It is becoming more important to make your website resizable-text compatible because people are expecting higher levels of web accessibility.

Browser Compatibility

While it is important to know your audience it is better to design a site for a wide audience.  I will create your site to be compatible across numerous browsers and will make sure it views well in small handheld devices such as cellphones.
