While it is important to know your audience it is better to design a site for a wide audience.  I create your site to be compatible across numerous browsers.  I also make sure it views well in small handheld devices such as cellphones.   It’s tempting to add the latest flashy doodads to a site but things that pop and sizzle on the turbocharged graphic artist's computer may not play at all on the average home computer or handheld devices.  Not all browsers can accommodate advanced extras like Javascript, Java applets, Flash, DHTML, etc.  and some people have these features turned off on their browsers.  If the content is only viewable by users with high-speed connections and your audience still uses dial up or handheld devices then you are missing out on a segment of potential customers. 

Sometimes all it takes is a little tweaking and updating of a site to get that polished look without spending exhorbitant amounts of money.

About Me

My graphic experience lies in advertising.  I spent 15 years as a signpainter; designing and painting numerous large and small signs for various companies.  With the advent of the computers, I switched to a digital format and have continued the creative process in brochures, business cards, website design etc. 

 

Newsletters were a large part of my creative work for a chartered accountant and also a colon hydroptherapy clinic.  Keeping your company name in the minds of your customer is key to good marketing.  What better way than to provide interesting information and updates to your clientele? 

 

Advertisements in both print and digital format are my specialty.

I spent three years designing magazine advertisments for an automotive restoration business in such magazines as Road & Track, Hemmings, Car & Driver, Sports Car Market, Old Car Trader, Car Collector, Motor Trends & Auto Aficionado.
